Dear Jillian,
You are a little person. Tim and I still ponder that you are ours and that we made you, and that yes, you are growing up right before our eyes. This last month was the month of sounds and facial expressions. You give some people the mean stink eye if you are not sure of something. Although trust me when I say, you really do like everyone. You also make all sorts of crazy sounds. You are really getting your voice, and your favorite is still to scream and shout. Tim and I will shout back, and it's like we are all having a conversation. You laugh all the time. Even at the most normal things, which makes me think you are going to have a good sense of humor.
You are also one determined little lady. I put you down on the ground next to your bouncer. On your bouncer is a purple plastic flower that you like to chew. You spent 20 minutes trying to grab it. You never gave up, or whined that you couldn't get it. You just kept trying and finally managed to grasp your little hands around it and bring it to your mouth.
You got to meet my cousin, Crystal and her husband Heath in La Jolla. You also got to meet their daughter, Shiloh, which would be your 2nd cousin, once removed. We tried to have a sophisticated lunch at Georges on the Cove, but you decided you wanted to grab everything on the table and squirm in my lap. You are so active these days, it scares me and your daddy. We know we have to baby proof the house, because without fail you want everything and everything goes straight into your mouth. And yes, you still love to chew on your feet.
You still love daycare and you love to be in the action. Amy is feeding you breakfast daily and if your high chair isn't facing the action, you will crank your neck to get a view of everyone.

8 month Stats (Jillian won't have another check up until her 9 months so the following are just estimates):
Weight: 21 pounds
Height: 30 inches

Sleep Stats:
Finally, at last you sleep through the night. It's a glorious thing. You go down between 8:30 and 9:00 pm and wake between 6:30 and 7:00 am. Most of the time, we get an extra 30 minutes of sleep, because you are so content to play in your crib until we come to get you.
Food:
You get 6 bottles a day, each 7 ounces. Miss Amy feeds you a rice cereal and jar food in the morning, and you get more jar food in the evening with me.
Random Stuff:
You love the stroller - you love to see all the new things in the world and what a better way then in the front seat :)
You tried avocado and liked it
You like to hold your own bottle at daycare. You fuss when anyone but your mama and dada hold you and feed you.
You still fall asleep in my arms right before bed, it's the best part of the day
You have baby soft skin that is creamy white. It's beautiful.
You are getting more hair, but not a lot. I am sorry to say you might be bald through your first birthday.
Milestones:

You can get on all fours and are almost crawling - any day now

You have graduated to your big girl car seat (no more infant car seat)
