The secret is finally out!! Talk about a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders. I was apprehensive about telling friends and family that I was pregnant until I got the okay from my doctor. I had my 12 week check up yesterday (I am 13 weeks on Thursday), and she gave me the green light. The heartbeat sounded strong, and I thought to myself, wow, I have two hearts beating inside me right now. It's pretty powerful stuff!
So right after my appointment, I drafted the below email and sent it out to my incredible family and amazing friends. The outpouring of love in response has been far more than I imagined. I can't wait for our little baby to meet all these people that help make my life complete. Thanks to all my friend and family that are reading this blog now and I hope that you check in often to see updates. I love you guys!!

Hey Everyone,
Tim and I have some big news to share and the easiest way to do this is by email :) We are pregnant and incredibly excited!! I am 13 weeks on Thursday, and am due on December 3rd. So far everything is healthy, and today was the first day I was able to hear the baby's heartbeat.
On a related side note: I am blogging again! I plan to document the pregnancy as much as I can, and it will be a great place check in with me, Tim and baby R. The link is at the bottom of this email.
I can't wait to talk to each of you in person, and share the whole story with you. We had decided not to tell anyone except immediate family until we were out of the First Trimester. The experience so far has been incredible! I have felt anxious, overjoyed, ecstatic and emotional. Luckily for me I have not had any morning sickness or nausea.
Love you guys so much and hope this emails finds you well!

We Broke the News: Tim's Email
Tim sent this to his far-away friends or the ones he was not able to break the news to in person.
Dudes,
Sorry if I've been missing in action lately. I thought I should write you guys before you hear it second hand from someone else.......so...boom: Tracey and I are expecting a little Timmy hopefully by the beginning of December! Super crazy! We are both very excited. We didn't make a formal announcement so I am letting everyone know very slowly. Huge reality check, enjoy!

We Broke the News: Aunt Barbara
Aunt Barbara, why are you so cool?? This email to us was just that:
"I am so excited, I just love those babies! Will you be wanting to know the gender? oh jeez, its way to soon to start bombarding you with questions.
Congrats!"

We Broke the News: Sid
My brother in law, Sid, sent this text to Tim after we told him the news of our pregnancy:
"Dude... Congrats on the news. Totally stoked. Already looking at kid sized bodyboards. About time we got a new member to the bodyboarding team. Oh yea, needs to be a boy. I will not accept anything else to join our crew. "
You know, Sid, girls can body board too. Either way, this was one of the most heartfelt texts we may have ever received. Thanks Sid for always been such a great friend. We are blessed to call you family.

We Broke the News: Uncle Russ
Uncle Russ is Tim's dad's brother, and he wrote the following via email:
"Congratulations to you both!! This is really great news! I haven't been a new Granduncle in way too long a time. I bet the folks are beside themselves. Especially the moms."
He definitely warmed our hearts by this email. Not only is he excited, but totally thinking about both my mom and Tim's mom and yes, they are both ridiculously happy.
